Dear Nervous Nancy:

Once the snow clears and buyers can get around again, it is a perfect time to put your home on the market to take advantage of the spring market. Interest rates are relatively low, inventory is low, and there are a lot of buyers out there looking for a home.

Some of you may be wondering if the market has already peaked. While the market isn’t as crazy as it was last spring, prices are still rising, albeit at a slower pace. A well prepared, well priced home will still sell relatively quickly in the current market.

That said, no one has a crystal ball to know what the market conditions will be in the future. While you may not get 20 offers as you may have in the past, you may get one or two good offers, maybe more. It may be disappointing to not get $100K over asking price, but keep in mind that you are enjoying the benefits of all those years of price gains.
